You may have noticed that the chinchillas are our biggest hobby.
We, that’s Boris and Silke have been living together for. Bevor that, we spoke about commom
hobbies and also common domestic animals. We didn´t like carnivorus pets, because the
cleaning of the toilets is very unpleasant, or to go out in the rain and wind. Then came the
herbivore pets. There are many possibilities. E.G. rodents. During this conversation we
notices that we both love Chinchillas. Boris had a Chinchilla when he was a younger man
(1989) and Silke knews them since 1998 from her brother. To have this special species which
has an indescrbable soft fur was our strongest desire. When we had our first couple, it didn’t
last so long and we got the next couple. Now we have 4 couples which have a room for
There is a lot to do for these pets. So we have with an aviary builder developed several good
cages. We explain and inform about these pets as often as we can. However, we have many
other interests. We ride mountain bike, go canoeing, drive model boots, model train, Lego for
big children, hiking in the mountains of Austria, our aquarium, cooking and sweet wines. So,
